What does it take to help an iconic Dublin food institution not only survive but thrive during Ireland's restaurant crisis? Strategic brand thinking. And quite a lot of coffee.
Fallon & Byrne faced a perfect storm: significant losses, leadership changes, and the closure of over 577 Dublin establishments around them. The 20-year-old institution housed four unique experiences across multiple floors, yet customers couldn't navigate between them. Tourists would enter at the food hall level, feel a bit overwhelmed, and leave without discovering The Wine Cellar, Dining Room, or Exchange.
We developed a master brand architecture that treated each venue as an individual brand within a unified experience. The result? Increased cross-venue traffic, targeted bookings for previously hidden spaces, and sustainable competitive advantage through strategic positioning.
